We use the Garmin Communicator Plugin to download the data from your Garmin Device.

The Garmin Communicator Plugin works best with devices that connect to a computer via USB cable. While some devices that connect to a computer via serial cable or serial-USB adapter will work with the Communicator, they are not officially supported and we cannot guarantee compatibility or provide customer support.


Steps to Download Map / GPS Data from your Garmin top

Follow these steps to download your Garmin GPS Route into MapMyRun.com:

  1. Navigate to the Create New Map page by clicking on the Map New run link in the top navigation bar.
  2. Click on the Import map menu item and select Import from Garmin Device. (see below)

  3. Next select Garmin from the Select Data Source drop down list in the Import Panel. (see below)
    The Import Panel will be located on the bottom-left of the Mapping Tool when you click Import from Garmin Device.

  4. Garmin Communicator will then lookup your Garmin Routes and you will be able to select which Route to download!
