So this past Thanksgiving I enjoyed the feast and left alot to burn off in the days after this great holiday.Though what struck me was that my challenging routine was scrutinized by my brother at the Thanksgiving dinner table.We started the conversation about his gym and mine.Yes my Brother does train but is in his younger 20's (it takes less effort at that age to keep the weight in check)as I am in my mid 30's.SO when he offered me to join his gym I said by the time your gym opens at 5am I am already 7-9 miles into my run on the treadmill.To that he replied ''That is so unnecessary''.My conclusion is that he is ignorant therefore doesnt not even understand the benefits to Mind,Body and soul running can do.Granted he is in good shape but is more into weightlifting and the Playboy look then the real endorphine part of cardio training.Talk to alot of people that dont train and you find the same results.So anyhow I will go on logging between 50-70 miles a week because I LOVE IT!!! Let the family,friends and colleagues who have no idea remain in the dark,if you arent a Runner''You wouldnt understand'' is what I say!!!!

Me too! I started running in April this year and finished my 1st 5 and 10K and now training for my 1st 1/2 marathon. I love the peace of mind I get from running outside!

Running Freak unless you are a runner few will understand why you do it let alne its benefits. The cardio benefits from running and building endurance are significant. I say; just keep running!
